Little Things Vol. 1
I haven't been updating this little space in a while and as much as I want to keep this blog going, I feel as if this space ended up with one blog tour post after another. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing them but I want to write about other things as well.
In the process of figuring out what this space is for me, I came across Evie Jayne's blog posts and I though, why not try her Little Things series. Maybe it'll help me slowly branch out from only blogging about books.
Life Lately
Last Friday, I said goodbye to the job I've had for the past 10 years. I was asked if I was excited to leave and to be honest it was bittersweet. I have been with the company for 10 years and I have made life long friends in my time there. However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work in one of my favourite places and so here we are.
Reading
I once mentioned to a friend that I wanted to start reading Stephen King with the end goal of reading IT. He then lent me Night Shift which was a collection of short stories. Unfortunately, I didn't read the whole thing. I was able to pinpoint the ones that I did like: those which are graphic right from the start.
I also breezed my way through To Sir, Phillip With Love by Julia Quinn. With the announcement of season 3 so soon after the release of season 2, I thought to get ready in case they decide to go straight to Eloise's story for season 4. They did skip Benedict after all (although that might simply be for the time being).
And because I am a Tom Holland fan, I'm currently reading The Knife Of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness before I go ahead and watch Amazon's adaptation.
Watching
My husband and I finished watching Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 a few days after it was released. Not gonna lie, this current season has been great so far. And can I just say Jamie Campbell Bower in this is AMAZING! I can't wait for Volume 2!
We've also started watching The Boys Season 3 and oh dear, I forgot just how graphic this show is and we are only on episode 1.
Listening
Taylor Swift's It's Time To Go has been my anthem ever since I applied for a new job. It came on on my way to work the day after I submitted my application. It's as if the universe is trying to tell me something, LOL.
Little Things is originally created by Evie Jayne.
